Fujinon XF 18-55 2.8-4

First day of a new decade

To start the morning of the new year (in this case also a new decade) with a quick photo walk in the neighbourhood is a pretty good start. Yes, I'm getting probably old, priorities are changing :) It was a good opportunity to check the already beloved film simulation Classic Negative, which is at the moment only available for my new Fujifilm X-Pro3 camery.

The morning started misty and I was very exiting to see how Classic Negative is handling it. All shots are SOOC with slightly adaption ins Capture One.

I tried also some photos with Acros simulation (BW) but decided to go with Classic Negative as it looked really nice on the EVF/camera monitor after some quick checks. In my opinion it handles also this misty morning mood very well. Seems to be by far my favorite film simulation for the next time.

What was very unfamiliar for me was to use a non prime lens. I’m using most of the time only prime lenses like XF 23 F 2.0 or XF 35 F 1.4 but for landscape photography a zoom lens works very well based on flexible focal length. The kit objective XF 18-55 F 2.8-4 is a great handy performer, all shots are done with it.
